Directed by Bryan Singer (the 7th installment in the X-Men film series), X-Men: Days of Future Past was released in May this year. The previous productions performed brilliantly. The latest entrant is no slouch either; Singer really delivered to make this movie an epic blockbuster. The film garnered spectacular reviews alongside the incredible $310+ million it raked in during the very first week of its international release.
The movie is able to do justice to the much complicated, multi-timeline plot. There is neither confusion nor an implication of a missed beat when the film attempts to move beyond traditional characterization and narratives. DoFP plays along the general theme: (a) mutants trying to persuade humans into accepting them while they continue to distrust, and (b) Magneto challenging Xavier’s rhetoric of a peaceful coexistence with a ‘self-defending’ war.
It is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seats the whole time. The drama moves forward when humans actually create robots – Sentinels – designed specifically to exterminate mutants. The epic stars who portray the younger and original X-Men pitch in their efforts to prevent it from happening by changing the course of history.

However, it is Wes Anderson’s creativity that emblazons a sadder, darker history in a fresh, vibrant manner. There are hundreds of little moments that make this movie pleasurable to watch. It is the highest-grossing film for Anderson with its take on global box office continuing to rise.

In addition, the actors managed to remain true to the story lent to them.
On a final note, perhaps knowing that the collaboration was compared to Hitchcock’s masterpieces would make you enthusiastic for this completely visually stunning, bygone world.
Despite the freedom that animation in movies provides, most of them were met with a lukewarm response these past few years. With Lego, it’s a different case altogether. It is intoxicating; it is outrageous; it is entirely original! Simply put, it had all the wow ingredients set to make it such a comedy that immediately became everyone’s favorite.
It took them about five years to complete and release this February. Count in A-list actors, massive marketing, and most importantly, nostalgia, and you have all the ingredients to make a memorable entertainment piece.
