5 Astoundingly Awesome Vegan Recipes for Kids

Let me start this one off by letting you all know that we are not a vegan family. We aren’t even vegetarians. However, from time to time, my oldest child has gone through phases where she refuses to eat any and all animal products on principle.

Part of our parenting philosophy includes helping our children to stand up for what they believe in, regardless of how short-lived their new ideals may be. This means that we sometimes join her in protest, and really, who can’t use more vegetable-based protein?

Reducing the consumption of animal products is not only a healthy choice, but also an environmentally sound practice. Here are some great vegan recipes for kids that the whole family can enjoy.

These TVP sloppy joes are a family-pleasing vegan dinner idea. My husband is really not a fan of textured vegetable protein, but concedes that it’s not so bad on a bun.

These sloppy joes whip up fairly quickly and with very little active prep time, making them an ideal busy weeknight meal. They are full of veggies to make parents happy and delicious robust flavor to please kids.
